Warranty & Returns
Every renewed item carries a 1-year functional warranty. For context: most renewed gear in the industry gives you 30 days. New ADV gear gets our full 10-year warranty.
What’s covered
If something fails functionally within 1 year of delivery, we’ll repair, replace, or refund. Functional failure means:
- A zipper that stops working
- A strap that detaches or tears
- A seam that fails
- An internal compartment that won’t close
- Anything else that prevents the bag from doing what a bag does
What’s not covered
- Cosmetic complaints on items that match their listed grade. If a listing says “light scuffs on bottom panel” and you receive a bag with light scuffs on the bottom panel, that’s not a defect — that’s the deal you bought.
- Damage from misuse (overloading beyond stated capacity, exposure to chemicals, intentional damage).
- Wear that develops after 1 year of normal use.
How to file a warranty claim
Email hello@getadv.com with:
- Your order number
- A description of what failed
- 1–2 photos showing the issue
We’ll respond within 1 business day with next steps. Most warranty claims are resolved in under a week.
Returns (non-warranty)
If you change your mind about a renewed item:
- You have 14 days from delivery to start a return. (Standard ADV policy is 30 days; RENEW is shorter because the inventory is one-of-one and harder to re-list.)
- The item must be in the same condition you received it.
- Return shipping is your responsibility.
- We’ll refund the purchase price minus a $10 restocking fee once we receive and inspect the unit.
- Cosmetic complaints on items that match their listed grade are not eligible for return — please read the condition notes carefully before buying.

Edge cases
The bag I received looks worse than the photos. Email us with photos. If we agree, we’ll cover return shipping and refund in full.
The repair we made has failed. That’s covered under the functional warranty for the full year, even on Used-Repaired items.
I want to upgrade to a new bag. Email us. We’ll often credit your renewed-bag purchase price toward a new bag.

The differences exist because RENEW inventory is genuinely one-of-one — once a unit is gone, we can’t replace it from stock. The shorter returns window and restocking fee help us keep the program sustainable while still giving you real protection.
