Condition Guide
Two grades. Same standards. Here’s exactly what each one means so you know what you’re getting.
Refurb
What it means: Came back in great shape. Cleaned, inspected, light cosmetic wear at most. All zippers, straps, and stitching fully functional.
Where these come from: Mostly 30-day returns. Sometimes demo units from short events.
What “light cosmetic wear” looks like:
- Faint scuffs that don’t catch on anything
- Slight fabric softening from being handled
- Minor crease lines from packing/unpacking
What it does NOT include:
- Visible stains
- Repaired zippers or straps
- Compromised structural integrity
Pricing: Usually 20–30% off retail.
Used-Repaired
What it means: Came back with an issue we fixed. Hand-repaired by us — typically a zipper replacement, strap re-stitch, or seam reinforcement. Cosmetically used, structurally sound, fully functional.
Where these come from: Warranty returns and longer-term demo units.
What “cosmetically used” looks like:
- Visible scuffs and minor wear on high-touch areas (bottom panel, strap pads)
- Possible faint discoloration on light-colored fabric panels
- A repaired component that’s been documented in the listing photos
What we will not list as Used-Repaired:
- Anything with structural damage we couldn’t fully repair
- Anything with stains we couldn’t fully clean
- Anything where the repair compromises the function
Pricing: Usually 35–50% off retail.
Reading a listing
Every listing tells you the same things, in the same order:
- The grade (Refurb or Used-Repaired)
- Photos of the actual unit
- Condition notes — written in plain English, specific about what’s wrong
- The price and what it would have cost new
- Warranty and return policy

If we got it wrong
If what you receive doesn’t match the grade on the listing, email us. We’ll make it right — full refund, replacement at no charge, or a partial refund if you want to keep it. We’d rather lose the sale than lose your trust.
